SportImpact at launch of "Teki na Ginástica"

SportImpact director Nuno Delicado was invited to talk about sport for development at the pre-launch of “Teki na Ginástica” (“Teki in Gymnastics”), today, at Fundação Oriente, in Dili, Timor-Leste.

Teki, a little Timorese girl, is the main character in a series of children’s books developed by NGO diaktimor for Timor-Leste children (published in dual language: Tetun and Portuguese). The books aim at entertaining while also educating children on important issues for their development. This is the second book in the series, after “Teki Goes to School” (launched in 2011). It was written by Maria Inês Almeida, a Portuguese children’s books author, who came to Timor-Leste for several pre-launch events. At Fundação Oriente she read very promising first few pages of the book – it will surely be an excellent contribution to making sport a larger part of kids’ lives in Timor-Leste.
